Blinkers and Blindspots
There are two types of people in this world. Those that have blinkers and blind spots and are aware of them. And those that don't have them because they are not aware of them.
Everyone has blinkers and blindspots. And the sooner you admit you have them, the better your life will become.
Let me explain.
We are all short sighted. Some are just more short sighted than others.
When you enter psychosis you are extremely short-sighted. And when you come out of psychosis you can be less short-sighted but short-sighted nonetheless.
That's what happened to me.
When you are short sighted you panic and make rushed decisions. You feel the pressure and the stress, daily.
For me, it wasn't until I admitted I had blinker and blindspots that I started to widen my world view. And started to experience a better life.
When you admit you're short-sighted it's as if this awareness shrinks the blinkers and blindspots.
And you start to see life through a wider lens. And this is where the magic happens.
I admit I have blindspots, daily. Boy do I have them. And the more I ignored them the bigger they got. So big that when entering psychosis I would say 'Im fine' when asked if I was ok. Clearly I was not.
So admit you have blinkers on.
Admit you have blindspots.
And just by that admission you'll find they shrink. They don't go away, they never do. But the least you can do is shrink them.
And then watch your life get better through a wider lens.
